Calling all Misfits!
Due to the Tech at NMU game falling during Christmas break, we'll be sponsoring a different road trip this year. This year the Misfits will be taking 60 of their own to Duluth, MN to watch our Huskies take on the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs November 13th and 14th.
The bullet points:
- $24, the cost of two tickets, will provide you with tickets, transportation, and lodging for the weekend.
- Leaving Houghton on Friday, November 13th at staggered times to accommodate as many schedules as possible (until ~3:15PM).
- We'll be driving Tech Vans to Duluth, where we'll take in Friday night's game and then get some rest at the Best Western Downtown Motel in Duluth.
- On Saturday we'll take in various attractions around Duluth, then attend the Saturday Night game.
- Immediately after the game we'll travel back to Houghton.
Together with USG, the Misfits will be able to provide transportation, lodging, and tickets at the subsidized price of only $24. The lodging will be four to five people to a room with 2 full or queen size beds, so plan accordingly. We will provide as many air mattresses and blanket as we can, but don't count on us for this.

Commandments of the Misfits
Sun, 12/09/2007 - 10:46pm — MeanEgirlAs an experienced road tripper, I have witnessed and been through somethings on the road at various hockey arenas. I've seen excellent displays of class by opposing fans and I've seen and experienced first hand quite the opposite. Also, being a hockey fan, I have heard many stories of classless acts done by various fan bases; things involving words that shouldn't be yelled out in a hockey arena, batteries, a cheerleader named Molly, inappropriate treatment of mascots, and angry fans throwing things at their own team.
As the president of Mitch's Misfits, Michigan Tech hockey's relatively new student section, I hope that visiting fans have only positive things to say about us upon departure of Houghton. I like to instill class, sportsmanship, and respect in Michigan Tech hockey fans. So here for you now, I'd like to present an idea that I thought of about two years ago and something that I would like implement this season. Ladies and gentleman, I give you the Commandments of the Misfits:
